Dr. Cynthia Fordyce obtained her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She did postgraduate work in Biophysics at Georgia Tech before studying veterinary medicine at the University of Georgia, graduating in 1981. Dr. Fordyce is a member of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and American Animal Hospital Association and American Association of Feline Practioners, a Eucharistic Minister, Chairman of More Eats Committee, coordinator of Martha’s Ministry, and Parish Life Commission Captain on the Stewardship Committee at St. Thomas More Church. Dr. Fordyce has also served as President of the Parish Council and assisted refugees through the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
For fun, Dr. Fordyce exercises with the dogs in the woods and park, visits baseball parks (whenever the Braves or Cubs are playing there), snorkels, and has attended all the Summer Olympics since they were here in Atlanta in 1996.
Two dogs and one cat (stray or abandoned, of course) keep her company at home. “They make me feel special. I walk in the door and they’re always excited to see me.” Doctor Fordyce would share, as she does when she makes school Career Day visits, that she is blessed to be doing what she loves.
